Bio:
Jens Harald Quistgaard (1919–2008) was a Danish designer and sculptor and one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Danish design. As chief designer for Dansk Designs from its founding in 1954, he created a wide range of household objects in steel, wood, glass and ceramics. His work is characterised by functional clarity, strong craftsmanship and clear roots in Nordic design traditions, and his designs achieved wide international recognition, particularly in the United States.
