Bio:
Robert Beauchamp (1923–1995) was an American painter and draughtsman associated with the post-war figurative movement in the United States. Known for his vigorous line and psychologically charged human figures, he worked across painting, drawing and printmaking. Beauchamp studied in New York, including at the Art Students League, and later taught at the School of Visual Arts. His works are held in major museum collections such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
