Heavy glass bowl in blue-toned moulded glass with geometric relief decoration and a fitted metal mount along the rim. The bowl is hand-signed and represents a strong example of Finnish design from the period.

Pentti Sarpaneva (1925–1978) was a Finnish designer and sculptor, renowned for his expressive works in both glass and metal. His designs are characterised by bold forms, textured surfaces and a distinctly sculptural approach, setting his work apart from more conventional Nordic design. Sarpaneva’s pieces from the 1960s and 1970s are today highly regarded for their artistic presence and experimental spirit.
