Carl-Harry Stålhane was one of the most influential Swedish ceramic artists of the 20th century. He worked at Rörstrand from 1950 to 1970, succeeding Gunnar Nylund as artistic director. His ceramics are distinguished by architectural forms, graphic decoration, and restrained yet expressive glazes. Today, Stålhane is regarded as a key figure in both Swedish studio ceramics and post-war industrial art pottery.
