Matte deep-blue stoneware bowl with an experimental test glaze, characteristic of Kåge’s artistic development work at Gustavsberg. The simple, softly rounded form highlights the tactile, almost powdery surface quality.

Bio:
Willhelm Kåge (1889–1960) was one of Gustavsberg’s most influential designers and ceramic innovators. From the iconic Farsta pieces to numerous glaze experiments, he continually explored form, colour, and material expression. His test bowls and workshop trials from the 1930s and 40s are now highly sought after for their artistic immediacy and historical significance.
