Faience vase in distinctive Memphis style with an undulating form and hand-painted decoration in bright colours – green, purple, yellow and red – on a white background with a black rim. A lively and playful example of Rönndahl’s design for Gustavsberg in the 1980s.

Bio:
Pia Rönndahl (b. 1954) is a Swedish ceramic artist and designer educated at Konstfack. She worked for Gustavsberg from 1981 to 1989, creating a range of colourful, geometric decorations inspired by the Memphis movement. Her works blend humour, postmodern aesthetics, and traditional Swedish faience craftsmanship.
