Jean Geoffroy (1853–1924), a French painter and illustrator renowned for his genre scenes depicting children and everyday life. He often signed his works as "O. Geoffroy.
Jean Geoffroy, also known by the pseudonym "Géo," was a fervent republican and served as the official painter for Jules Ferry's Ministry of Public Education. His artworks provide a sincere and sympathetic portrayal of the living conditions of the working classes, particularly focusing on children.
One of his notable works includes the Album Photographique et Descriptif du Matériel du Chemin de Fer du Nord, which showcases his attention to detail and commitment to documenting contemporary life.
