Bio:
Bertil Vallien (born 1938) is a Swedish glass artist and designer, renowned for his long career at Kosta Boda. He is one of the most influential figures in modern Scandinavian glass art and is particularly known for his sand-cast glass objects and sculptural works. Vallien has played a key role in the development of Swedish studio glass from the 1960s onwards.
