Bio:
Chinese porcelain of the 20th century spans both traditional and more popular decorations. The famille rose palette, introduced in the Qing dynasty in the 18th century, continued well into the 20th century, often depicting figures, flowers, and symbols of happiness and longevity. The red printed calligraphic characters are classical symbols of good fortune and double happiness, frequently used in ceremonial contexts.
