Set by Aluminia from the “Confetti” series, comprising three tea cups with matching saucers and cake plates. Made in black-glazed faience with a light interior glaze and light rims.
Origin: Denmark.

Dimensions: Cups H. 6 cm, D. 12 cm. Saucers D. 15 cm. Cake plates D. 15 cm.
Period: Mid-20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.
Marking: Marked Aluminia.
Bio:
Aluminia was founded in Copenhagen in 1863 and developed into one of Denmark’s significant manufacturers of faience. The factory was taken over by Philip Schou in 1882, the same year he also acquired the Royal Copenhagen porcelain factory. Aluminia is particularly known for its decorative and functional faience production from the first half and middle of the 20th century.
