Bio:
Just Andersen (1884–1943) was a Danish hollowware artist, silversmith and sculptor. He founded his company in 1918 and worked with a wide range of metals. He became particularly known for his proprietary alloy, Disko metal, named after Disko Bay in Greenland, where Andersen was born. The material was used for figures, dishes, bowls and lamps and became a distinctive feature of his production.
