Four hand-thrown ceramic bowls with varying glazes, including celadon and earthy tones, showing visible age and use with traditional forms of the period.
Origin: China.
Material: Ceramic.
Dimensions: H. 5–8 cm, D. 13–15 cm.
Period: Late Ming dynasty (1368–1644).
Condition: Signs of use, minor chips and cracks, see photos.
Bio:
Ceramics from the Ming dynasty (1368–1644) encompass a wide range of glazes and types, from simple utilitarian wares to refined export pieces. Many bowls were produced in regional kilns with a focus on functionality, resulting in robust forms and natural glazes. Today these objects are appreciated for their authenticity, craftsmanship, and historical patina.
