Sculptural art glass vase in clear pressed glass with a pronounced ice-crystal surface texture and a geometric body. The Krokus model is defined by its cubic form with a constricted neck and a broad, slightly flared rim. Unsigned.

Bio:
Timo Sarpaneva (1926–2006) was one of Finland’s most influential designers and worked for much of his career with Iittala. He is internationally recognised for his innovative approach to glass, exploring the material’s structural and tactile qualities through casting, freezing techniques, and controlled surface effects. Sarpaneva’s works are represented in major museum collections worldwide and are regarded as key contributions to Finnish modernist glass design.
