Aluminia bowl with fish motif.
Aluminia faience bowl on foot ring, brown glaze with impressed decoration of fish to the interior.
Date: 1930s/40s.
Dimensions: Height approx. 6.5 cm, diameter approx. 18 cm.
Condition: Excellent condition with minimal wear and signs of use.
Mark: Underside marked with Aluminia stamp and model number “1585”.
Short biography of Aluminia:
Aluminia Fajancefabrik was founded in 1863 in Copenhagen and specialised in faience with decorative glazes and patterns. The factory became known for its functional forms and vibrant colours. In 1882, Aluminia took over the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory but continued to produce under its own name until 1969, when the Aluminia name was discontinued.
