Set of four porcelain tea cups with matching saucers by Royal Copenhagen in the Midsummer Night’s Dream pattern, decorated in delicate pale blue and white tones. Model 73/10042.
Origin: Denmark.

Period: 20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear. The pieces are marked with one incised cancellation line.
Bio:
Arnold Emil Krog (1856–1931) was a Danish architect and porcelain artist who became artistic director of the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory in 1885. He played a decisive role in the artistic renewal of the manufactory and became particularly known for his work with underglaze decoration and natural motifs. The Midsummer Night’s Dream service was designed by Krog around 1899.
