Bio:
The Meissen Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1710 and was Europe’s first producer of hard-paste porcelain. The famous Blue Onion pattern was introduced in 1739 and was inspired by East Asian porcelain with stylised floral and fruit motifs. The pattern became one of the manufactory’s best-known and most enduring decorations and remains highly sought after by collectors of historic European porcelain.
