Decorative Italian wine carafe in glazed terracotta with a characteristic circular relief motif and purple glazed centre. The organic shape, softly curved handle and bold colour palette reflect classic Bitossi design from the period.

Bitossi Ceramiche, based in Montelupo Fiorentino, was one of Italy’s most influential ceramic producers of the mid-20th century. Under the artistic direction of Aldo Londi, the workshop developed vividly coloured, relief-decorated series that are today highly sought after for their distinctive blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design.
