Bio:
Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 as the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory and is one of Denmark's most established porcelain manufacturers. The company is particularly renowned for its hand-painted porcelain and distinctive blue underglaze decoration. In 1908, Royal Copenhagen introduced its first annual Christmas plate, establishing an uninterrupted tradition of releasing a new design every year. The motifs frequently depict Danish Christmas traditions, winter landscapes and atmospheric scenes of everyday life. Over the generations, these Christmas plates have gained international popularity among collectors and are now regarded as an important part of Danish porcelain and design heritage.
