Bio:
The Lomonosov Porcelain Factory in Leningrad traces its history to 1744, when it was founded as the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in St. Petersburg. In 1925, the factory was named after the Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov. During the Soviet period, the factory became particularly renowned for high-quality porcelain figurines and tableware, and its animal figures were produced in a wide range of models with carefully sculpted forms and painted details.
