Vibrant abstract composition executed in oil on board with pronounced impasto brushwork and an expressive visual language. The composition is built around intense yellow, red, green and darker tones, with broad fields of colour and strong vertical and diagonal strokes creating depth, rhythm and movement. Signed. Provenance: artists studio.

Bio:
Lars Bertil Bertle (1925–2026) was a Swedish modernist painter from Helsingborg. Largely self-taught, he did not devote himself to painting full-time until the late 1960s. His work is distinguished by vivid colour and an expressive approach, ranging from southern Swedish landscapes, still lifes and figures to strongly abstracted compositions. Bertle is represented in the collection of Helsingborg Museum, which includes, among other works, an abstract oil painting from his Aniara series.
