Bio:
Svend Hammershøi (1873–1948) was a Danish painter and ceramicist and one of the most significant artists associated with Kähler’s workshop in Næstved. His ceramic works are known for their harmonious, often classically inspired forms and his assured treatment of profiles, ornamentation, and glazes. He worked with Kähler for a large part of his career, creating a wide range of distinctive forms. The yellow uranium glazes are among the notable glazes used at Kähler.
