Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Swedish-Finnish ceramic artist and designer regarded as one of the most influential Scandinavian ceramicists of the twentieth century. He served as artistic director at Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955 and created numerous iconic stoneware series as well as unique studio works. Nylund is especially celebrated for his organic forms, innovative glazes, and major contribution to the development of modern Scandinavian ceramics
