Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 under the patronage of the Danish monarchy and is internationally renowned for high-quality porcelain and hand-painted decoration. The Saxon Flower pattern was inspired by 18th century European porcelain traditions and is especially admired for its elegant floral motifs and delicate gilding. Early examples from the beginning of the 20th century are highly sought after among collectors of Danish porcelain today.
