Bio:
Magnus Wijkström (1957–2019) was a Swedish artist raised in Eslöv. He studied at Pernbys Målarskola in Stockholm before being admitted to Valand Academy of Fine Arts in Gothenburg in 1983, where he trained for five years. After completing his education, he settled in Malmö and pursued a career as an artist. His work is characterised by geometric motifs and strong colour combinations, often exploring expressive and experimental compositions. Despite a reserved personality, he exhibited both in Sweden and internationally and gained recognition over time.
