Bio:
Göran Nilsson (1930–2014) was a Swedish graphic artist, cartoonist and painter educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, with further studies in Amsterdam and Madrid. He was a member of the influential IX group and worked across both printmaking and painting within a modernist, often abstract visual language. Nilsson is represented in major museum collections including the Nationalmuseum and Moderna Museet in Stockholm, reflecting his significance within post-war Scandinavian art.
