Elegant baluster-shaped vase in glazed earthenware with a deep red oxblood glaze and softly flowing surface. The glaze shows subtle variation and light kiln effects. Signed HAK to the base.

Bio:
Karl Hansen Reistrup (1847–1913) was a Danish ceramicist, sculptor and artist associated with Kähler in Næstved. He is known for his naturalistic and decorative works as well as his mastery of experimental glazes, including deep red tones inspired by Chinese ceramics. His late 19th-century works are considered among the most artistically significant in Kähler’s history.
