An impressive and monumental lidded dish in hand-painted porcelain from the Flora Danica service, decorated with the botanical motif Linaria Cymbalaria Mill., rendered with scientific precision and refined brushwork. The lid is richly adorned with naturalistic flowers and trailing vines, crowned by a sculptural knop with applied floral decoration. The base and rim feature gilded detailing and classical border ornamentation. Model 20/3567.

Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 under the name The Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Copenhagen.
