The factory gained international recognition at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851 and soon became a supplier to European royal courts and aristocracy. The Apponyi pattern was developed in the late 19th century and named after the Hungarian Apponyi family. The design is characterised by stylised floral bouquets and exists in several colour variations, including the pink version.
