Bio:
Elsi Bourelius was born on 8 April 1909 in Kalmar, Sweden, and died on 26 May 2001. She worked as an independent studio potter and is known for her slender, sculptural forms and the consistent use of incised decoration that emphasises the tactile qualities of the material. Her works were produced in limited quantities and are often stamped or signed to the base.
