Bio:
Kähler Keramik in Næstved was a key contributor to the development of Danish art pottery in the first half of the 20th century. During the 1930s, the workshop focused on sculptural surface treatments and experimental glazes, often drawing inspiration from natural forms and the stylised aesthetics of the Art Deco period. Relief-decorated jugs such as this demonstrate Kähler’s ability to combine functional design with expressive ornamentation and high-level craftsmanship, qualities that make works from this period particularly sought after today.
