Bio:
Jørgen Haugen Sørensen was one of Denmark’s most prominent sculptors and visual artists. He worked internationally, particularly in Paris and Pietrasanta, developing an expressive visual language often centered on human and animal forms with strong social and political undertones. Recipient of both the Eckersberg and Thorvaldsen Medals, his works are represented in major collections including Statens Museum for Kunst, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, and MoMA in New York.
