About Tapio Wirkkala and Corinth Blue:
Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was one of Finland’s most prominent designers, known for his versatile work in glass, porcelain, metal, and industrial design. He began a long-term collaboration with Rosenthal, where he created a number of iconic services under the Studio-linie. Among these, Corinth Blue, introduced in the 1960s, became one of the most beloved.
