Glass with noble coat of arms - Sponneck

Price: 684.- EUR per item

Height 10 cm.

The glass is from the beginning of the 19th century and heavily ground with a coat of arms and mirrored monogram.
The glass's fine cuts, its polished mark underneath and Sponneck's 3-part family tree suggest that the glass was made in Germany or Bohemia.

Von Sponneck can be traced back to 1697 and is still found in smaller branches in e.g. South Africa.

The glass is marked AR or RA, cut under a German crown.
Between the two oval cartouches is ground a flower vine, with fine details.
The coat of arms is exceptionally finely ground - please see all image guides.

It is in good condition with some glass wear and a mark on the edge, tried on shown in a photo.
