Lava is a serie of art glass designed by Per Lütken in 1970 for Holmegaard Glassworks.
The series is taken out of production during the 1980s.

Lava is mouth blown thick glass, in brownish and bluish shades, which with its distinct color differences must illuminate lava flows and at the same time act as a solid moment in the glass mass from mixed mass to finished product.
In the 1970s, Per Lütken was very keen on returning to the glassmaker art as a craft, as evident in the Lava series.

This model was drawn in 1970 for an exhibition at the Danish Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland.
