Mogens Koch

Mogens Koch and modular shelving systems Mogens Koch was among Kaare Klint’s early students and later collaborators. His shelving units, developed from the late 1920s and put into production in 1932, are among the most well-known modular furniture systems in Danish design history. The shelves are constructed from square modules that can be rotated and combined in different ways. The system was expanded with doors, drawers, plinths and picture frames. Production continues today, and the system has had a major impact on the development of flexible storage solutions in Danish interior design.
