Pair of hand-painted porcelain plates decorated in the famille verte palette with central compositions of flowers arranged in ornamental baskets. The borders are richly decorated with geometric patterns, floral details, symbolic ornaments and cartouches in green, red and blue tones.

Bio:
Famille verte porcelain reached an artistic high point during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor, 1662–1722. The decoration is distinguished by a refined palette dominated by various green enamels combined with colours including iron red, yellow, blue and black. Flowers, baskets, symbolic objects and dense geometric borders were characteristic decorative elements on Chinese export porcelain of the period.
