Bio:
Stig Lindberg (1916–1982) was one of Sweden’s most influential ceramic artists and designers and a leading figure at Gustavsberg during the mid-20th century. Alongside his widely produced tableware designs, he created a significant body of unique and small-series studio ceramics characterised by sculptural forms and bold glazing. His freeform vases from the 1960s and 70s reflect a strong modernist sensibility and are today regarded as highly collectible examples of Scandinavian ceramic art.
