The contrast between matte and glossy surfaces lends the piece a sculptural, modern character typical of Nils Kähler’s 1960s production.

Bio:
Nils Kähler (1906–1979) was the fourth generation of the renowned Kähler family and a key figure in the workshop’s modernist evolution. His work often explored tactile stoneware surfaces combined with bold, expressive glazes—frequently in strong colours such as azure blue. Today, his ceramics are highly sought after by collectors of Danish design.
