Bio:
Gunnar Nylund was one of Sweden’s leading ceramic artists and designers of the 20th century. Working for Rörstrand from 1931 and serving as artistic director in the 1930s, he became known for his matte and flowing glazes, clean modernist forms, and refined animal sculptures. His work bridged early functionalism and the softer organic style that came to define Swedish mid-century ceramics.
