Bowl, model 4412, 1950/60s.
Decorative round bowl with a softly organic form and incised surface, hand-painted in geometric segments of pastel yellow, pink, and turquoise on a brown background. A fine example of Mari Simmulson’s modernist style, combining colour, texture, and form in perfect balance.

Origin: Sweden.

Condition: Excellent condition, minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) was a Swedish ceramic artist who worked for Gustavsberg and later for Upsala Ekeby (1949–1972). Her work is known for bold colour use, graphic decoration, and sculptural forms, making her one of Sweden’s most recognised mid-century ceramic designers.
